Default Jacket Recommendation Please

I'm looking for a good riding jacket now that I have my 848. I like the Ducati jackets but I'd rather get something without any visible branding. Also, I'm looking for a jacket that is grey instead of brown. I might go with Vanson as they give you some room to customize but I'm not sure yet. Also, I would like a jacket that I can wear off the bike from time to time as well.

Any suggestions?

humm... thats a tall order, no labels, grey, can wear off the bike... all i can say is check out all the sites you can, icon has an ok selection of jackets, as does alpinestars. if you go to denniskirk.com, they have a huge selection of jackets, from a good number of companies. however keep in mind that they dont have EVERYTHING. also try on as many jackets as you can at local shops, so you know your size, and what features you need/ like.

i am partial to alpinestars myself and just purchased a new a-stars mx-1
jacket which is amazing! i hope this helps, but i'm sure you have already done most of what i just said... haha! good luck!

Check into Dainese. They make all the Ducati branded jackets and pants, and they have a number of jackets that don't have too many logos on them.

if you want a jacket that is not descript with armor and such, look at the bmw gear.

they literally only have 1 or 2 jackets with bmw branding that is larger than a dime, most of their jackets literally have a small roundel about hte size of dime on an extra piece of fabric that you can easily cut off, no need to really bc its so small of a roundel.

their stuff is top quality stuff with armor and such. so check it out, nothing is really loud or stupid looking more subdued in all their stuff. i love bmw riding gear. check it out you wont' be dissapointed.

only catch, and there is always a catch, is that it is the same price as a similar ducati branded item, translation, its expensive, no joe rocket style deals or prices.

I have 2 Ducati jackets, one Rev'IT jacket, and love them... They do have branding tho...

One option is this: http://www.newenough.com/protective_...le_jacket.html

Small logo, vintage lines, and it comes in grey! New Enough has some great prices!!

Good luck and keep the rubber side down!

Thanks for the BMW gear suggestion. I'm definately going to check out the Atlantis Pro jacket. It's black but it's very close to what I'm looking for.

check out the reflect leather jacket if you like that normal smoother leather in a very normal looking jacket get that. i have the pants to this and they are cut like a normal pair of jeans. the jacket is probably equally as subtle but i lready have a leather jacket so couldnt' justify spending the xtra money, though the jacket does look great. the only problem is it only comes in black.

i think personally that bmw really makes some nicer textile jackets that aren't gaudy or loud.

revit makes some great gear as others have said, and their stuff is great too. although at times they tend to put eh revit name down the sleeves and the back. but all high quality stuff.

check out kushitani also, if you are a slimmer build or slim and short they have some stuff that really fits nicely, their stuff is mostly black but stylish and the logos are small on the jacket similar to the size that vanson puts on their jackets at times. I belive that they have some grey themed jackets.

good luck.

Check out Redline Leather. I have a nice plain vented leather jacket, Spine protector, shoulder and elbow armor all of which are CE impact protection certified. Liner zips out and goes on the outside of the Jacket and there is your Rain jacket. Lifetime Warranty on the Leather. Plus it has a built in adjustable Kidney belt. Fits nice and not to short in the front. Awesome Jacket man. I was in the same boat where I didnt want to Have all kind of print all over me. This is a good looking riding jacket. Plus it has reflective piping on it that only shows up when a light shines on it. Check em out.
