Ipod Listeners: What are the best ear buds for wearing under a helmet?

Hey Guys,
Got a question for ya'll, I've been considering listening to my iPod while ridding myself, but I was told once before that it would not be safe! So, in your experince does it really comprimise your road awareness?(you know blocking out the possible sirens) I might give it a try this weekend.

I use jaybird-200's; They are Bluetooth and only a small wire connecting the two. The allow for pairing on multiple devices and can be used with Cell phones (built in mic). The right earpiece has volume up/down and can control your playlist by advancing one or going back one song at a time. Additionally they have play/pause with only three buttons.

They come with an adapter that plugs into the bottom of your iPod, the ear pieces stay charged for about 6 hours. I had a speaker go bad on one of mine, told Jaybird and they replaced it for free!
