Default Alpinestar SP-2 gloves -- 2008 model

Finally, Alpinestar has built a glove for people with larger than elfin hands. On every world except planet Aplinestar I wear a size L glove. To get an A-star on without tearing open, I always needed to buy an XL.
To be fair, this is not actually exclusivley an A-star thing but I like their gloves and wanted to buy a pair that fit. The trouble with buying the XL was that, once they were on, they were just a skosk too long in the fingers, especially the pinky.
So............the '08 models arrive and wow, the Large actually fits and fits well. I was at Cycle Gear in Allentown, PA and they had the old model as well as the new and I could not get the old ones on but the '08's were a terrific fit. Still tight enough that I am not too worried about losing one in a crash but not so tight that I need to break out the lube to get the dang things on.
These gloves are typical of the A-star quality and they feel great on the bike. I wish they had some '08 GP Plus or Pro's there to check out.
Now I just need something for the hot hot days of Summer.
Anyway, bottom line is that I would recommend these gloves to anyone who is tired of the yoga moves required to get a glove on that is actually in your correct size.
Mike

For the summer, I like my ICON Pursuit shorties. The are vented well and have decent leather and stitching. They did wear out after a couple years...
