Default Need a good tailbag

I have a 2008 s4rs. I don't like the Ducati saddlebag I bought with it. I would like a good easy to mount tail bag. Doesn't have to be real big.Large enough for a change of clothes and some shoes. Any help?

I'm in your same boat. I've been considering Cortech, Lees Parks Design, and Axio. I'm waiting to see the new 696 DP tail bag before committing:

I have this one that I purchased a few months ago and finally got to use it last month on a 1600 mile trip a few weeks ago. It was large enough to hold my laptop, clothes and toilettries for 5 days, and a few tools just in case. I was a little concerned about the width hanging too far over the edge of the right side on my S2R 1000 and getting burned by the exhaust but it stayed a least 1-3 inches above the exhaust no mattter how much I loaded it down. The price was resonable as well but one thing I did learn is you need to make sure the included rain / dust cover is pulles all of the way down over the bag or you might just lose it like I did mine somewhere between Enterprise UT and Cedar City UT.

I've got the Cortech sport also and it sounds like it'll fit your bill. The cortech bag will hold a set of shoes and change of clothes no problem. It's got some nice features like expansion zippers, small pockets on the outside of the main section and a couple on the inside of the main section 'lid'

I don't use it too often, but when I have it's worked like a charm.

If you haven't seen it yet - TwistedThrottle http://www.twistedthrottle.com/ is a good source for all sizes, shape and styles of bags from a number of manuf. Just some food for thought.

+1 [thumbsup] Carries a ton of clothes for a road trip (with military folding) and for full day rides it carries a full SLR camera, rain gear, shield, and snacks - and all that is WITHOUT unzipping the expansion pockets!

I have the Revpak Jr http://www.revpack.com/motorcycle/pr.../TourPack.html I use it for my long weekend trips to the fishing hole. I can fit a weekend's worth of stuff in it to include wading boots, waders, some tackle, change of clothes, and still have room.

Don't you guys find the monster seat hard to attach anything to? I have a tailbag, but the narrow rear seat and taper make it seem sketchy unless I also am using the saddlebags. (The bag attaches with rubber coated u-hooks to the lip of the seat pan.)

I use a section of rubberized shelf liner in between the bag and the seat. This keeps the bag from shifting back and keeps it from scuffing up the seat also. [thumbsup]

I criss-cross the bungees under the seat and frame. The back two bungees cross and attach to the passenger grab handles. The front two cross and attach to the passenger peg mounts. I'll try to take pic tomorrow and post em.
