Default Buttless in Boone

I'm coming to the conclusion that leather pants are not made for skinny people. The last couple of pair I've tried on, gave me enough room in the rear to add several good sized watermellons. I have though about duc-taping said field fruit to my backside but think it would be hard on my monster.
I'm 5'11" and 150 lbs and am still looking for a good fit. Forget about the Blasters; huge butt capacity! How about you other skinnys out there? I'm not looking for track days or competition leathers, just every day riding-around leathers. Any help appreciated.

What brands have you tried?

Try some euro brands... they seem to be made for scrawny people. I know a bunch of skinny folk that fit very well in A* and Dainese leathers.

Also, dont forget that if you are wearing racing type moto boots, the leather pants can be above your ankles because they can get tucked into the boot.

Are you describing a lot of room when standing up? Remember that much of that slack is taken up when you get into a riding position, more if you have high rearsets. Leather doesn't stretch so pants will be baggy in the knees and butt when you're not in a riding position.

If you are not looking for track use:

I have Vanson Leathers w/ adjustable waist band.

If you're talking about the "trash can ass" effect of most leathers, you'll never get rid of it. Racing leathers are generally precurved to fit a fairly aggressive riding posture, which involves having your torso at least somewhat bent over and your feet fairly high up on your pegs. When you're in this posture, you'll find that the leathers are comfortably snug. If they were allowing for less junk in the trunk, you'd be strangling yourself if you tried to tuck.

If you're looking for leathers for touring use, I'd suggest going with a good textile suit, like Aerostitch. They'll give you protection from the elements and have lots of convenient features that racers and track day junkies don't want or need.

Good luck! [thumbsup]

That sucks. I'm on the opposite end. I'm 5'11" and 270. If I wiggled my way into some leathers its seriously tight and the legs are way too long :-\
