Very good point! With my experiences with Amex, you can dispute a charge at any time. They always got your back.

I was thinking custom, since if I'm gonna drop coin on something leather, might as well be something really nice. ideally, I would have something I could zipper to pants, but we've no track down here, so it's all street for me. the jacket I have right now is partially leather, so a perf'd/vented leather jacket couldn't really be THAT much hotter than what I've got. might just get those kevlar jeans or something for pants instead

Re: Vanson Leathers complaint
I've always liked Dainese better than Vanson anyways. As I mentioned in my post here ( http://www.ducatimonster.org/smf/ind...html#msg447679 ), Vanson just doesn't seem focussed on sport riding at all, and their armor shows it.
The only problem is that I've never seen a Dainese with the same venting options Vanson has. Most Dainese are either vented/perfed, or not --They don't have zippers that allow you to choose to expose large perf panels in changing weather like some Vansons do..
Thanks for sharing your experience with Vanson. I've always wondered what that anti--Vanson remark in your sig meant.

Re: Vanson Leathers complaint
Actually, I never liked the "transformer" Vanson approach. Seemed too cluttered and prone to failure. I'd rather have a solid and a perf'ed set. I realize that seems extravagent, but face it, after a while, you'll collect a bunch of kit anyway.
I now have full sets of cordura, perf'ed leather and solid leather. I have the right 2pc for anything!

Re: Vanson Leathers complaint
Ya, I'd definitely rather have two $600 jackets than one, but I don't think I will ever be able to justify that. When I buy one jacket in that price range, I have to sell another.
I just think that if you are only going to have one jacket, it is nice to have it be convertible. Mine's not, but I wish it was. Too bad Dainese doesn't do stuff like this!

Re: Vanson Leathers complaint
Man, sorry you've had such a rough time with Vanson, Ash.
I love my Vansons--they fit well and crash even better and are of GREAT quality--but I've never had to deal with the company directly. I wouldn't trade my for any other brand ('cept for a Helimot suit -- now those are BADASS).
