Well that's a dumb idea. Anytime you wanna unzip the jacket from the pants, you have to worry about losing that panel...

it's an interesting idea that allows for adjustability... but yeah, i didn't like the execution for the reason you mentioned, and also because it's not wraparound so you have to mess with THREE zippers instead of just one.

I don't think it's dumb. The panel is a little stretchy so it's comfortable and doesn't pull up on the pants too hard, or down on the jacket too hard. Only unzip one side and you don't have to worry about losing it.

I'm with Ash on the 3 zipper thing though. Should be a full perimeter panel IMO. The 2 front zippers on my pants/jacket have worked their way loose a couple times.

On my AGV Sport jacket and pants, the panel is attached to the jacket with a pull zipper on one end. The other zipper is on the pants. The panel on the jacket is made of a stretchy material and I don't have to worry about zipping two zippers or chance losing the panel...

I figured that maybe there was a back zipper panel too, but the pants didn't come with it. The quality of the pants otherwise - and of my five year old jacket, for that matter - was great. But not being supplied the rear panel, the construction of the front ones being some pieces of nylon sewn together, and having the front ones unzip just from moving around a little (keeps the nylon from tearing!), were enough to put me off. In the event of a get off at speed, I don't want to have a Hudsucker Proxy moment wishing I paid for the double stitching....

I know this thread is quite old, but I must agree I'm not at all that satisfied with Vanson as of now
I too purchased the Cobra 2 jacket and I'm pleased with it, but it does seem as though the leathers don't quite match up. Secondly, I went on their website, took the time to print out their custom glove application, did all the measurements only to find out they no longer do custom gloves. I thought this was a great resource to have since I have very large hands. I've had the jacket for two years, but I'm considering unloading it and going with Dainese [thumbsup]

Only prob ive had with Vanson is that the sleeve zippers break on the jacket. I just take it to Johnson's leather to have them replaced with good sturdy ones.
