Smile DIY Body Sliders Question and Pointers

Hello,

Newb here installing newbie Speedymoto body/frame sliders on my '06 800 for any falls. I was trying to install following the instructions given, but they are made for 848 Superbikes and I was a tad confused (although, I think I get the general idea.)

I undid one nut form the frame/engine stud and tried to get the other off but it won't because it twists the stud (which I kind of expected.) I figure the two nuts act like (somewhat) chinese-finger cuffs for the engine/frame stud to hold that in place. I followed the instructions and started to "tap" ("tap" according to the instructions) the new stud to slide it through and displace the stock stud. It started to budge but it stopped after a short while.

My question(s) is how hard is it to displace the stud? Am I doing this install correctly? Could anyone help clarify, or give advice, the instructions? I want to make sure I'm doing this correctly, obviously. My mechanical skills are mediocre (dad would make sure I could at least make home repairs but never any rebuilding engines or anything like that.) Is this something that could be in a DIY manner or should I seek a professional?

Thanks.

It helps if you support the bottom of the engine with a car jack so it doesnt drop down as you switch the bolts.
also, do you have the right model sliders for your bike?
It should be part # 09-0201 for the M800

Good advice on the car jack; I assume it would help lift the weight off the two engine/frame studs and slide the replacement in easier. I'm currently at work and don't have the packing info with me for the part # but I want to say it is the correct part # (also, I think it's cross-referenced with 09-0202.) I believe I bought it from you guys at monsterparts too.
