Default Where is the Battery Connector on 696

According to the owners manual, it says "Your motorcycle is euipped with a connector to which you can connect a special battery charger available from our sales network."

Where is this connector?

Thanks

I think the dealer has to install that.

I removed my battery for the winter.
Battery charger at the ready.

Good Luck,

Russ

You will have to put the harness that matches your battery charger on yourself. I think that you will find the Ducati brand battery chargers are really expensive. For about $35-39 you can get a Battery Tender that is automatic. It comes with a harness you can put on yourself. To put any harness on you will have to remove the tank side panels and get under the tank to access the battery. It's a pain, but not difficult.

Thanks for the replies...

So we're all assuming that the Manual lied? There is no connector already installed?

If you look at the Photo of the (excessively expensive) Ducati-Branded battery tender, it has a standard plug on it... Well, standard for battery tenders anyway. I couldn't find that connector on my bike anywhere. Maybe it isn't on US bikes.

So... I took off the gas tank and installed a connector. It's charging right now. Trickling. Tendering. Something Electric-ish. (and no, I didn't buy the Ducati tender... I have another one I use to keep my cars charged)
