Default sticking throttle

Hi just bought a used 2000 750 monster. The guy I bought it from said recently the throttle had been sticking a little. Presently when I ride the throttle does not snap back on its own. Given a little time it sometimes comes back but mostly I roll it back to the closed position. Is there an easy fix that I can do or do I need a pro to take a look?

Thanks

First thing I would do is take a look at your bar end. Make sure your grip is not pushing up against it. If it is, simply loosen it up a bit (the bar end) and back it out about 1/16" from the grip and you should be fine. If that is not the issue, do a scan of the cable from end to end and make sure it did not get moved into a place where it is pinched or otherwise restricting the movement of the cable. Post back and let us know what you find.
