How to Strip of DUCATI tank emblem

So I have a 2001 Dark and I am looking at stripping off the gray DUCATI tank letters and putting on red lettering instead.

My Question: Where can I find new lettering(RED), and what is the best way to strip off the old letters?

1. warm up the decal with hair dryer, this makes it easy to peel off the decal
2. use fingernail or dental floss to peel off the decal, start from the corners
3. do one letter at a time
4. when done, use a bit of WD-40/cloth to clean off the old glue

I think you can find new decals on eBay shops.
