So im about to pull the trigger on an 05 S2R 800, its in great condition, but the only down fall for me is its yellow I have been searching all the Monster parts sites and I can only seem to find front fenders, rear seat cowels but nothing tank related. Do I have to replace the whole tank? Or is there just a plastic cover over the tank? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
p.s. Im looking to swap everything over to "Dark" or "Gloss Black". I would consider doing the CF front fender.
If you don't want to spend the time, you can take it to the shop and get it repainted
But you can also sand it down using fine grit wet paper to remove the old paint, apply a new coat of dark primer, sand it down to smooth finish again, then apply a few layers of new paint....nothing to it :-)
