Tune ECU DP Map on S2R 800 cold weather

I recently tried to upload the DP Map on my 07 S2R. I have GPR Slip ons and the DP open airbox with DP filter. The Bike would not stay idling, kept dying at every light I got stopped at and seems to hesitate/sputter at low speeds. On Highway, seemed to run perfectly fine. Now, it was only 40 degrees out when I tried this, so I'm wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this with the DP Map? Does it make it even more cold blooded, is it a warm weather map? My bikes temp never really got to above 130 by the time I made it back. I don't drive like a bat out of hell either, so maybe my driving style is the problem, as well. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I assume that you performed a TPS Reset after installing the map. But with the symptoms you mention it seems as if you did not.

I was told a TPS reset wasn't needed, as I was just reflashing the fuel map and TPS data was stored elsewhere and only needed to be performed if the entire ECU was replaced. Is that incorrect?

NO NO NO - the TPS data is erased if changing or updating the map - you must reset the TPS. From your symptoms this is why I asked if you had done so.

OK, did not know that. I backed up my original map and put that back on, and it runs fine with that. I'll try the TPS reset next time I load up the map.

Where did you get your cables and did you use the free TuneECU software? Thinking about doing this to my 07 695. Thanks for any info

Got all my cables on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003Z...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0053...YBEKRZH96G3WC2

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LN...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And then paid the $12ish bucks to download the TuneECU program on my android tablet.
