Error Code INJE

I put on Vance & Hines CS 1 slip-ons, K&N air filter, a bazzaz ZFi fuel management system to my 2011 Monster 796. I had the bike dyno tuned. Now my check engine light comes on after riding for a short period...20-30min. It says error code INJE. Any ideas on what this might be? The bike runs great but the check engine light still comes on.

INJE 13.1 Vertical cylinder injector error
INJE 13.2 Vertical cylinder injector error
PUMP 16.0 Fuel pump relay error
FAN 18.1 Fan relay error
FAN 18.2 Fan relay error
STRT 19.1 Starter contactor error
STRT 19.2 Starter contactor error
STEP. 21.1 Stepper motor error

EXVL 23.1 Exhaust valve motor error
EXVL 23.2 Exhaust valve motor error
EXVL 23.3 Exhaust valve motor error
EXVL 23.4 Exhaust valve motor error
EXVL 23.5 Exhaust valve motor error
TPS 1.1 Throttle position sensor error
TPS 1.2 Throttle position sensor error
PRESS 2.1 Pressure sensor error
PRESS 2.2 Pressure sensor error
T.WAT 3.1 Engine coolant temperature sensor error
T.WAT 3.2 Engine coolant temperature sensor error
AIR 4.1 Air temperature sensor error
AIR 4.2 Air temperature sensor error
BATT 5.1 Battery voltage error
BATT 5.2 Battery voltage error
LAMB 6.1 Lambda sensor error

Traction control unit error (the error can only occur if the bike has been fitted with the traction
control kit available from Ducati performance)
ECU 30.0 Engine ECU error
PK.UP 34.0 Pick-up sensor error
SPEE. 36.0 Speed sensor error

Sounds like an injector issue, I'm guessing it has something to do with that bazzaz unit and the tuning done with it.

Hi Doug,

Hope you could help me out on this one.
I'm having the same issue with my M796 after installing the bazzaz + filter where the bikes runs great but the bike throws an engine check light Error Code INJE same as what u have experienced back in 2012.

Was there any fix in your case ? If yes , would it be possible to share the info as I too would like to get my bazzaz working in proper order.

Thanks mate

Cheers
Brad

This was Dougs one and only post ever. Probably won't reply, hopefully he will. I suggest a google search for other Ducati owners that installed bazazz units. It's very typical to get error codes when running piggyback systems that try and "trick" each other.

I've got a Bazzaz Zfi, 02 sensors removed (with plug in) and Ducc ee exhaust valve servo eliminator. 3yrs and no issues or codes thrown (except for the exh valve one that went away after I gave the Ducc ee module plug a little wiggle)
Check your wiring to the injectors as there are Bazzaz wiring clipped inbetween the factory harness and the injector itself. Maybe give them a squeeze to make sure they are closed?

Hi folks,

Thank you so much for your feedback and its really insightful info. Really apprieacte it ! U guys are awesome

Sadly , after sending it to the shop and triple check for 2 days, we have removed the bazzaz fzi and ordered a replacement unit. We tried all the advice from forums and another references with no positive results. We suspect that I have a faulty unit or the harness in which claimable under warranty

Nevertheless , will update on status again once installed the new unit for future references for other riders benefit.

Meanwhile , here is a photo of my ride with the custom pipes with BMWS1000RR shorty header. Was previously on Termig with stock pipes and ReXXer

Hopefully ReXXer and Bazzaz can live in harmony once install the Zfi. Hahaha
