BARF Safety Patrol

After the rash of recent deaths I am going to take barf on the high road to increase awareness and I could use a little help.

First the idea:

Set up at various hot riding spots on a Sunday once a month or so.

Table/ Canopy/ coolers/ Barf books/ Info on MSF. Pic's and stat's of crashes (Data Dan is already working on some of that). Print out of RIP threads..

We will get a new banner or two or three made. I hope to get some volunteers from different locals to do this.. so this could mean outfitting several groups.

"Barf wants you to get home safe~Ride smart"
Or something similar..

We will sell Barf SQUID2O and barf chill pills as safety oriented fun stuff and something that can be useful when out riding.

Squid2O will be barf branded bottle water with safety oriented message on the bottle.. this is in the works already, but if you wish to help on label design there is still time.

Barf Chill Pills will be breath mints with a safety oriented message on the tin.
Again in the works, but still open to label design.

We will distribute info on trackdays and info on why that is the place to ride fast.. etc..

Here is the help part.
* Volunteer to sit on your butt for a few hours.
* Volunteer to get the stuff to the locations.
* Volunteer to help with graphics / banner production etc..
* Volunteer in other ways.. there will be lot's to do.

The money raised from the sales of the H2O and Chill Pills will go to printing of materials and equipment required to out fit several groupls and of course H2O for the volunteers etc..

WHY?

Because I don't want to see folks hurt or killed and a presence may give them a second thought.. particularily young riders..this is a worthy cause for barf to pursue. We have seen a rash of RIP's here and I really think barf should do something and this is the best way I see to get something in the face of riders..

Any vendors that may want to have the Squid2O or barf chill pills at their business locations please email me as well. The support of selling the stuff and the little message they will contain may make a difference that could last a life time.

We are in the works of putting this together and while we may be out a few months on getting them going it is worth the effort.

If we can save a couple of riders and the families attached, it will be worth the effort.. even one rider getting home safely/alive is worth the effort.
