Default Cheaper than a track day, but just as much fun...

Indoor Go-Kart racing!!!! That's right kids, 9hp of pure tire squealing fun > GoKart Racer, in Burlingame, has the largest indoor track in the country. We used to do Munroe vs. Ducati N.A. nights down there, and it was a hoot!!

Maybe try to get a MOB night going sometime soon?

I'm going down tomorrow night for the big track session... they combine the two small tracks into one massive course. Screwed up back, or not, I need some throttle therapy of some kind, and this is about as close as it gets to hitting the track these days.

If anyone wants to tag along, let me know. [thumbsup]

I think it's about $50 for the first time... license and track fees. We'll probably go sometime after rush hour. Maria doesn't get off of work until 6 anyway.

I'd love to get a big outing soon. Mebbe next week (after the 27th)?

BTW -- I torqued the triple clamp down... was sweating bullets cause it still had that "buttery" feel.

Oh kart racing is so much fun.

I did it back a few weeks ago.

We did a 10 minute practice, 5 Minute qualifying and a 15 minute race. We did the #2 track which is medium difficulty. I forgot the name but there is 2 different tracks which they can combine to make a Huge 3rd one.

Out of 16 people I placed 3rd. I almost got second but missed it by a less than a second.

Most of the racers I was with go to the track so I thought I would get my arse kicked since I have never taken my bike to track yet. Perhaps it does not translate well or I got lucky. The karts you get make a huge difference as well. I got the same kart in all 3 sessions.

Oh Yeah... Karting is a blast. There is a new indoor kart track about to open in Livermore. I can see spending a lot of coin in there.
