the tank looks the same. I'd say he's done some work on it since that maybe?

anyway, tell him he did an outstanding job on it! I hope he isn't disturbed to know he has stalkers on DML.

Sheesh, I think I even spotted that one all the way from Arizona! I saw it at Alice's Restaurant when I rode to SF last August...

Hey, what's up fellow DML'ers !

Wow, I'm flattered to have stalkers! (i think, with them being guys and all :-\

I ride to work almost everyday with the s4r so you'll see her there often.

Dark StaR- nice video! been a while man! When we going to Alice's next???!

All- thanks for the thumbs up. I'll post some pics soon. As we all are, I'm not yet done with mods- thinking about anodizing the forks black and powdercoating the swingarm and spring black but haven't found a shop in the bay area that can disassemble the forks, anodize and put them back together. might be too much black color though... another idea i had was to keep the forks and swingarm as is and just get the motorstrano fat lower triple clamp in black... any suggestions?

Here are a few pics of my black gold (and gray) 04 S4R. About the forks/swingarm color scheme, I think I'm leaning more towards keeping them as is and just get the motowheels lower tripleclamp in black and black powdercoat the rear sprocket carrier... I'd like some feedback though on the other idea (black forks and swingarm). Thanks!

One of the pics is in front of the Golden Gate Bridge. Please excuse the shoes- I'm a Nike Dunk collector/wearer too!

This is definitely one of my favorite monsters ever.

A faint gold would look better on the forks and swingarm IMHO. I think black is too obvious and boring. What I really loved about your bike was the subtlety and continuity of all the parts. You did a really great job making the whole thing work together.

That bike is so TITS!

and she rides well!

sh- thanks for the complements! I really love the monster; its look, feel, ride and sense of ownership. I first fell in love with the monster with my first bike, a dark 620 (hence my login id) that I bought from a friend.

Once I saw the S4R, I knew I had to get one. I wanted to go far a 'hard' look, but something modern-looking that still kept its naked look with small 'bling' and lots of CF! I really like the black/grey/gold combo and so I went with that.

That's a good idea with a faint gold color on the forks & swingarm. Once I make up my mind, I'm planning on doing the mods when I take her in for my major service sometime later this year.
