Default Parked bike in SOMA, hit & run this morning

What a wonderful morning surprise: Bike pushed over by a car. (Bike was on centerstand!)

Just when I was assessing the damage ... broken peg, spilled gas, broken handlebar, tank dent! > ... two separate people tell me a woman jumped a curb and ran into the car parked behind my bike. She hit that car hard enough so that it was pushed right into the Duc.

If someone sees a blue Honda (possibly an Accord, late 80ies model), number plate 4CG7509 somewhere, let me know. Black female driver in her twenties. Happened around 7:30 this morning, at 695 Minna at 8th St.

Sad thing is that unless the cops see her at the scene there is nothing they will do. She can just say her car was stolen. Sorry about the damage.. good luck with the repairs.

Well, I don't know. I have two independent witnesses who could possibly identify her. I don't want to be too optimistic but the cops were even telling me that they'd like to push this as there were witnesses and a full number plate.

Sorry dude, that blows.

If I see that car around, it's possible that my keys might get stolen and be used to scratch her paint.

PM me your phone number -- I live in the neighborhood and will call you if I see the car.

Just FYI, either the car is newer and doesn't need to be smogged or it isn't registered/not insured because it has no smog test records of any kind. Doesn't look good for compensation.

Ouch. Sorry to hear it. A full plate and multiple witnesses is definitely something worth pursuing.
