Don't you need to be a D, or do you just need a V and B?
[cheeky]

Re: South Bay ride 06.10.07. Who's in?
Tim, it is my understanding that I don't need to be a D to do the parade. Like, how are they gonna prove it? [cheeky]
Ducky, I'm outta town next weekend for a wedding. I can do it during the week maybe? Or just before the parade?
On the subject of the ride...it was excellent! Pace was a bit mellow, but considering that many of us hadn't ridden together much, it was good. There was lots to see in the hills...old timey cars, bike races, and tons and tons of motorcycles. [thumbsup]

we definitely need to get together more often in the South Bay

Re: South Bay ride 06.10.07. Who's in?
Glad you two joined us! [thumbsup] It's fun having new people along.
Robin's not on the DML unfortunately. However, ever since I bought my Monster off of him a few years ago, we hook up once or twice during the summer for a day like Sunday. He knows those mountains really well and is capable of a fun pace while knowing where to be respectful of the locals and such.
I'm thinking of organizing another ride in the East Bay that has a more mellow component for those folks that want to do it. My last couple of rides have not been friendlier to those who like to do a relaxed pace and we want to make sure that everyone knows that there is a place for them here. There will still be a "tear it up" group. These rides tend to be pretty popular and are often composed of three groups because of the sheer number of folks. I might start off sweeping the slower crowd and then will come up and pretend to be fast with the big boys. > I hope to put this together about mid-July or so. There will be other rides in the meanwhile, and for me, a few trackdays in there. Stay tuned.
