Great ride today guys! [thumbsup] Awesome weather, no incidents, and good company.
I still don't know if I have to pick up the dog tomorrow afternoon or not. I should know tonight. I'll go ahead and say tomorrow's ride is the same schedule 10am meet up at Tam Junction Starbucks, leaving 10:30ish. We'll run the route originally posted (standard NB).
If I find out I'm getting the dog tomorrow, we'll do a route edited to run in the time allotted.

Once again, awesome weather and no incidents (provided I don't get any tickets in the mail). Company was slim. dbhak22 bowed out via pm, but I hadn't heard from Jaman, so I played it safe and went to meet him.
Pulling into Tam Junction I parked next to a couple of scooters and almost jokingly asked if they were there for the ducati group ride. I was drinking a mocha waiting to see if Jaman was going to show up when a guy wearing a dainese jacket rolls in on a red Vespa. Is that MichaelMoore? Nope. Five more scooters roll in behind him. One guy has a Clamore sword strapped to his back. Turns out it was a group called the Royal Bastards Scooter Club.
I ended up chatting with a couple of the bastards for a while about scooters and monsters then gave up on Jaman making it and headed up Mt Tam at 11.
Traffic absolutely sucked. Busses and tourists, and busses full of tourists - both ways. Long story short I picked my way through traffic and hit several section of Tam and 1 that were blissfully empty. These compensated for the normal Sunday at noon traffic that barely crawled above 20 mph below the speed limit.
Here's some pics of the Scoots...

The saturday ride was awesome! The weather was perfect, the pace was perfect, the low flying vulture didn't succeed in knocking me out this time. Grendelstwin, you lead a good ride, thanks for taking us noobs out [thumbsup].
Still looks like you had a pretty good time out there... [thumbsup] We should combine efforts to do another newbie-friendly/mellower-paced ride next month? East Bay perhaps? We could have a couple of groups--one slower, one faster.
We had 9 show up at our gathering in S. Bay today. It was a bit heavy for a single group but we managed. We had some good roads (empty) and some pretty heavy traffic as well. I still don't get the reason why everyone gets a big woody over 9. Lots of sweepers. It's nice, but you have to be going 120 mph to really get a thrill from it...oh wait....nooooow I get it. [cheeky] (yeah, we weren't about to try that! We ran into two cops pointing radar guns into our faces (literally) at one point.)
