They just want to make sure you can generally control a motorcycle before you take the course. You shouldn't take it if you still have problems working the clutch or making tight turns in either direction.
I've got like 16,500 miles under my belt in about 3 years and I still have trouble working the clutch and making tight turns. :P [laugh]

Excellent advice. Very cool on the buddy rides. i'm on the Doc Wong list but haven't had a chance to head down there. I've been riding less than six months. Of course, now that I'm trying to gear up for more intensive riding, my bike on start up last night started stinking up like burning rubber and smoking out. I think i'm gonna have to bring over to the Desmo people. Any advice appreciated. Maybe the MSF experienced rider course first, then.
