S2R - sourcing tires in GTA

My S2R needs new tires. I like my dealer but they can't see me til June so I am exploring options.

1. Does anyone have a recommendation as to a good tire or should I stick with the same tires that came with the bike? I am a regular street rider so I would lean more to duration/distance versus performance.

2. Does anyone have a favorite source for purchasing and installation?

I'm shopping for a new rear tire as well. I use my bike for commuting so i'm also leaning towards more mileage than performance. I'm looking at the dual compound tires....Michelin Pilot Road 2CT, Dunlop Roadsmart, and the Bridgestone Battlax BT021. I think i'm going to go with Bridgestone because it's ~$70 cheaper than the other two and should still have more performance than i'm capable of [laugh]

Just left Ducati in Toronto - they have a package on rear and front - metzler and pirellis for low $400s installed.

I'm gonna have a pretty much new Bridgestone front for anyone interested...

Make sure to specify that you want Pirelli Corsa 3 (not the run-of-the-mill Pirelli Diablos) and tell them Bert sent you... I pick mine up tomorrow with the CORRECT tires...
