Default Winter projects

So who has any major (or minor) mods planned for the coming hibernation. My current crippled state has put a real damper on beginning the stuff I need to finish first. Winterize bikes, clean out garage, finish workshop in basement Finish mods half way done. I am still with stock exhaust on my s4rs but I love the lower look of some of the systems, though only the full termi's give power (Torque) everything else I have read loses midrange, I love the sound but I'm not losing power for sound (against my grain) Hopefully DP will have something by mid winter or one of the aftermarket folks will have the stuff stable (and powerful) I need to make an adaptor to fit my GPR steering stabilizer, new springs (for my fat ass) and a suspension setup, new rubber, smaller signals (that I like) purchase and hookup a Zuma GPS, adjustable rear sets,my ankle will be screwed for a while (pun intentional) maybe a slipper clutch (at least a open cover and pretty clutch stuff. Friggin better win the lottery for all that crap. So what is everyone else planning (dreaming).

Already started...decided to stay with the current ride a little while longer. Put on the rear cowl in matching dark colours. Put on a CF shorty hugger, and billet oil plug.

Planning on changing out the front turn signals
New tires
and probably some STM black frame plugs
Need 12K service was quoted $600.00 from Inglis

HOws the ankle doing, on crutches or anything?

Yeah crutches, wheelchair the whole works (and hopping lots of hopping), hell if I was going to be off my feet for more than a few more weeks I'd get one of those powered carts. X-rays on the 20th hoping I can start to put weight on it then cause this sucks. How was the East? I was hoping you would have brought me some bizarre eastern animals testicle as a cure for my ankle (LOL) hell I can barely handle sushi.
Give me a call sometime

i am done with modding the Monster. Not like i did much lol (black rizoma bars, LED front signals, LED taillight with integrated turn signals, and Fresco high mounts)

i was looking for a project bike, almost bought a Suzuki rotary bike off ebay, i should have bought it, still kicking myself over that one, $1300, bah well

I bought a 1998 916 a week ago. it;s at GP Bikes for a recall that needs done.
I'll probably do the LED tail lights with intigrated turn signals on it, and some small CF bits
it already has a Ferracci exhuast, and chip.

instead of making either bike faster, i am going to sign up for the Fast school, and do some track days come spring. Also need a nice one piece suit

Yeah that sounds like a good idea too, I have been trying to get rid of a couple of my Kids bikes (03 KX 65 & 550 Maxim)to fund a track bike, something like an old TZ250 or even a duck single but that might be too expensive for upkeep I dunno, track day is good idea you might see me there.

if i was going to do s crap load of track days. i;d probably go with an older honda. Like an F4i or cb600 rr somthing around 99-2000. Maybe even a GSXR of the same era. Cheap and builtproff. hell of a lot cheaper to beat on that any Duc haha

With an old duck (or anything with a European engine or frame) I can also do all the DOCC days (fun times with good guys) maybe an old TZ and slap in a Rotax single or a newer KTM dirtbike that someone threw off a cliff or in reality a Aprillia 250 lots of thrills and big corner speed. I dunno anyone have something like described above and needs a KX65 and a Maxim 550 (yeah I didn't think so).

Yea ok so instead of winter mods, I just said piss on it and bought a new S2R 1000 from GP Bikes. They are going to deliver it in early January. Ordered it with the Zards full system. Worked out a good deal so I'm happy about that and stoked to get the Monster that I really wanted in the first place.

Sucks large that the weather is not co-operating. So we can't sneak out for a ride.

Got the Black with White stripe. Brad may need some info or assistance if not running smoothly regarding ecus.

Merry Christmas to me!!

If not I'm having a little get together you and your loved one are more than welcome. My buddy and I setting up a KTM 450 for track days and possible occasional races in the still forming 450 single class.

The dealer is going to drop it off and pick up the 620 sometime in early January as the bike just came in from California on Friday. I was happy with the trade, lettin me keep all the CF that I added. They want to put the bike back to stock..except pipes. Damn it I have to do another tail chop. The stress...of it all.

Thanks for the offer for New Years, I believe the Mrs. and I are going to the neighbours and we will have the little ones.

If I don't talk to you before then, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. Maybe see you for a short ride during the Janauary thaw?
