Default Ducati recommended Service in the GTA?

Guys - I'me left with Peninsula and Toronto Ducati for warranty/service issues.

I know Peninsula is really moving the bikes but I'm not sure how experinced the service team is - at Toronto Ducati - Rob Trotier used to be there - intimate with Ducati's as ahe raced/wrenched on them - not sure if he is still there - was a man of his word.

Any recommedations?

I've also had service at Ducati Toronto...no complaints. There is also GP Bikes in Ajax and Z1 Cycle in North York.

Thanks Guys - My bike is at Ducati Toronto.....they were respoonsive and picked it up this morning. ke Rob Trottier is no longer there - went to work for a dealer in BC.

My bike only has 3400 km and it seems the transmission is stuck (the exeterior linkage is not binding) in either 3rd or 4th gear...I'm more than a little dissapointed - hopefully it will be resolved soon and under warrenty.

I'll keep you posted!

Sorry to hear about your tranny issues, The young kid at Peninsula may not have the experience of some of the other Techs but as an ex shop owner and technician and instructor (all four wheel) sometimes the kids are better suited to a lot of the new bikes changes, electronics etc. In the two service times I have been there he may not have had the grey hair that seems to make a lot of people comfortable the kid was smart and talked straight and there were no issues with the bike after the service. In closing I'm sure the other places were fine but every technician deserves a chance don't condemn him for his Youth it may be an advantage one day.

Thanks guys!

I totally agree on the level of sophistication of the new bike (O2, ECU, Immobilizer..etc) as it adds significant complexity ....and yes some of the yonger guys will be more savy on the electronic side...I've always always tried to focus on the reputation of the people rather that the dealer - as techs/service managers will change.....

Update - my bike was repaired in a timely and thorough manner at Rev...The lead tech - I think his name was Chris - seemed bulletproof - shortest time any of my Ducatis spent at a Dealer...

The only negative was some implications that I may by downshifting "too hard" which I would not accept - I've been riding for 20yrs - never experinced this on any aother bike - not even my previous Ducati - my current bike has not been riden hard and it only has 3400km...also I've seen this exact issue posted here.......Also, it took some time before they would deem this as warranty...

I was impressed as the lead teck corrected some othe minor items and optimized the internal shift mechanism to minimize a re-occurance.

Postive rating on Rev the thouroghness and quick turnaround time - my first dealing with Rev.

Thanks!

the tech at peninsula knows his stuff, my bike is solely serviced by them and the work is top notch, not a single complaint...go chat with the guy and ask him what you want, he is always happy to explain everything in detail...
