Let's Make a Deal !!!!!
O.K. as some of you know, I've bought back "my" '05 620... Woo-hoo!!!
The first thing I wanted to do was put the stock bars back on (with new 1 1/2" risers) because the Rizoma clip-ons didn't work for me comfort wise on trips of more than a couple of hours.
Somewhere along the way, though, my stock triple clamp disappeared so now I need - no, make that MUST - find a stock triple clamp for a 620 (an S2R800 triple would work too).
My "deal" is this: trade me your stock triple clamp for my Rizoma clip-on set, the catch being that you split the cost of making the swap. Scott's mechanic friend, Randy, thinks it will probably be no more than two or three hours of work.
Sounds complex, but it's pretty simple: I really need a stock triple clamp so... Let's Make a Deal ;D

Re: Let's Make a Deal !!!!!
Is that the cost to do both bikes??? Will a 900 do?? my bike has bryants old bars on it, just not sure about the tripple clamp. If so I am in. I need to see randy anyway. Sat randy is coming and he can look at the 900. I have to take him the 900 to do a 2 tire change, both sprokets and chain, plus change the rear rotor and pads.

Re: Let's Make a Deal !!!!!
Yeah the cost for swapping the bars over would be split between me and whoever else wants to trade.
Randy looked at my bike and said it would probably be a pretty straight forward job but... there is always a chance it could be a can of worms once he gets into it. If my bike turns into to more of a pain and requires more time to solve, then I'd pay more.
So basically, I'm flexible on whatever happens with the install related to cost.

Re: Let's Make a Deal !!!!!
the operation is super straightforward, less then 2 hours for both bikes for sure unless you get hung up on pulling the bars off.
In fact, if you weren't changing bars, you wouldn't even have to pull the stuff off the bars, just move the whole assembly out of the way so you could get the triple off...

Cool, that's good to know David.
Alan, let's talk at your BBQ on Saturday - think this could work out fine for both of us.
