Default for what it's worth, having 3 pins in your finger...

hurts like hell! >

[frustrated venting]

Had surgery yesterday to fix my left pinky, and now have 3 pins stickying out of it. With all those little nerves in the hand, all I can say is there's not enough hydrocodone in the world...

Ya'll have fun during lunch today. Wish I could join, but it looks like I still have at least a couple of weeks before I can think about doing that (4 weeks till the pins come out).

Thanks... I'm starting to think that I'm building a tolerance to vicodin. :

I've been looking at the AR thread. It sure looks like we need to get a curse or two off our backs :-\ I'm glad there were no injuries though.

Andre I did start a build up. I had to take one more after a couple weeks, then 2 more later for it to help with the pain. Anf don't forget about the RUM and cokes. Need better drugs to make up for it.

  CURSE BE GONE

Hope you feel better. At least your pins will come out! I have a 1/2 inch dia. x 14 inch rod with 4 deck screws that they say will never come out. Keep up the high spirits!! [thumbsup]

Andre,

Hang in there brother! Cory's right, that hurts just thinking about it! OK, enough is enough, it's only mid April and we already have several dinged up people... including Chris' Major League Baseball injury! Let's all agree to put a stop to the madness. Everyone chant together... no more injuries, no more injuries! There, I feel better already!

Hope you start feeling better Andre. You know... a rum and coke doesn't sound half bad right now! >

Wow, that must have been a tough post-op!

I'm doing my best to stay in high spirits, and I'm really doing ok 90% of the time. It's just the pain plus the 3+ weeks of staying at home that are making me cranky.

The rum & coke does sound good, but I'm too attached to my 2 surviving brain cells to let either of them go. Anyway, I just called the surgeon and left a message asking about upping the dosage or changing meds... hopefully she'll call back with a solution. Being able to sleep tonight would be fantastic!

Ok. I think I've vented enough. I'll buy ya'll drinks when this is all over.

So did I, and as far as my back goes that's true. I thought the finger was a small detail, no biggie, until the surgeon looked at the X-rays and used highly technical terms such as "smashed"... She got really pissed off when I told her the hospital neglected the finger.
