Big Boar Kit and the M620? (O.K, 'Big Bore,' jeez...)
O.K. with the eminent return of my old M620, I'm thinking about doing a big bore kit to bump up the already mind numbing acceleration of the 61 bhp motor (hey, believe it! Got the dyno print out [laugh] ) to something approaching a more acceptable 100bhp or so.
Have any of you hooligans made this mod or know of anyone who has? Is it worth the cash once it's all said and done?

Re: Big Boar Kit and the M620? (O.K, 'Big Bore,' jeez...)
I did a lot of research on this topic when I had the 620.
To be honest, the best bang for the buck by consensus is a 900 motor swap. But there are nice alternatives to that, if I recall correctly you can drop in 900 pistons and get the cylinders machined. I forget the total bump in cc. Most of the parts would be available from ca-cycleworks.
Search for "620 big bore"
Did a quick search for ya and got something from Stu from FlightCycles

Wow! That's a great bit of info, and very do-able I might add. Thanks Bryant [thumbsup]

Like Stu posted, the 620 has great cams and will produce better power than a factory 750.
620s rock!

Since Scott was selling the 620 to make room for the 1098s, I decided I'd much rather have it back than start all over with something else (a Triumph Speedmaster was on the short list). Really missed that Monster for just cruising around town, so I'll address my two biggest complaints with it from before: not enough power, and ergos that I'd screwed up by adding those way bad Rizoma clip-ons; love the look for sure, but the upper body/lower back position was killer after a while.
So big bore kit, new top triple with Magura bars or Cycle Cat clip-ons or heli bars, and I should be back in business, woo-hoo! Very pumped about this!

Hey I really like having the Rizoma clipons. The 1" drop was great for me. I think there might be somebody willing to take those off your hands.

Hmmm, clip-ons--wonder what it would take to make those work on the 695... >

If I can get the Rizomas off cleanly (I remember they were a #$@@^ to get on), I'd be happy to let 'em go cheap [thumbsup]
