October - Barber Museum Vintage MC Expo - wanna go?

Last October I rode from Dallas to Birmingham, AL, to the Barber Museum's annual Vintage Bike Expo. The museum, the people, the races - it was more fun than I've ever had with my clothes on. The museum is the Smithsonian of motorcyles and their history.

I'm going again this October and was wondering if there was any interest in forming a group. Doesn't have to be a "close order drill" or anything. I slabbed it on I-20... east on I-20 to Exit XX in B'ham and Bob's yer uncle.

I know this is way early - I'm not looking for a sign-up list, just an indicator of interest. Whether we ride together or not, you should definitely plan to attend this event... you will NOT be disappointed.

Leo (GT1000man) is from Atlanta and is planning to return very soon. I believe he was also at the same event (his son lives there) and he had a great time. Expect him to chime in on this thread soon. I would trade my first born (if I had one) to go to the Barber museum and check out the vintage races!

Yes- this is a fun event.... they also have a vintage auction so bring a trailer [laugh].

Yep, there were a number of folks with trailers there... usually hauling their HD's. Poseurs!!! [cheeky]

I would make it a point to NOT take a trailer! God forbid I see something I couldn't live without... having no way to take it home is my safety net! I'm already thinking of adding a second floor and a lift to my garage! [laugh]
