Default April 12th trackday

Who is all going?
I think it is Marco, Tony, John and Paul and me [thumbsup](I got in and this might be the 4th time on the sv :-\)

I just want to get cordinated with trailers and such. I don't need to ride up the day before any more so I can drop off during the week.

Excited and nervous, I am just happy to be out on the bike.

on gate fees with nesba, just tell them you're with nesba and they'll let you in after signing in
you could always ride up with me if you want, if you can get to my house by 5am we'll be good to go

Oh boy,
I was looking at the bike and getting it ready for inspection and noticed that the pads or really thin 1/32 to 2/32. I don't think that they will pass tech. I just ordered some but I don't think i can put the break in miles on it before next weekend.
Also I am wondering with only 31 miles on a new bike should I hold off on a track day until I am more familiar?

Trying not to be a sissy but, I don't need to add any more risk.

I can put the miles on for ya ;D. It doesn't take too long to bed in new pads anyway. To be honest, i just put Ferodo's on my bike at the beginning of the season and I didn't even notice any green fade, but I wasn't exactly braking that hard on the street.

FWIW, I think you should go for the track day. What better place is there to get a feel for a bike?

I might take you up on that. I guess that means I'll need to get my tires off and wheels painted sometime next week if I want some new rubber.

you'll have enough time to bed in the pads at the track in the first two slow sessions.
it'll probably be slow all day anyway because the track will be ice cold and even with tire warmers not too many people are going to want to push it too hard

greg im glad you are coming.. and yes start running it this weekend and double check everything.

btw.. i just invested in some new straps (cycle cynch) based on marcos recommendation. you know how the canyon straps and other tie down options fnck up your grips?.. these are the way to go. finally something that really works. thanks for the tip marco http://www.af1racing.com/store/Scrip...idproduct=1674
