Default Ciao from Rome

Bon Giorno!! Windsor and I are in ROme. Not a lot of Ducatis, mostly scooters. good number of dual-sport bikes too. Great riding weather, too bad we didn;t bring gear. Will post pics when we are home.

Ciao!

Wow! Nice. Are you going to visit the Ducati factory while you're in Italy?

Have fun and take some pics for us jealous folks back here!

The wine is good with the meats and cheeses, but beer at night. Get this, Italians don't drink beer, so you need to go to an Irish pub. Been drinking Harp (my usual). It's considered a domestic beer. Really funny drinking in an Irish pub in Italy. The romans idea of drinking is standing up, drink a small glass quickly and leave.

I flagged down a ducati waiting at a traffic light, and asked hime where there was a ducati dealer. He didn't speak English and it was hard to talk. I tried a couple of different words, but to no avail. The light changed and we parted. Not two blocks later, I found a guy getting onto a Ducati, so I talked to him. He didn't speak English either, so I asked 'Ducati Mercato' which translates to ducati mart. That's the closest I could get to store. ANyway, he didn't know where there was one in Rome.

Next was the yellow pages. Found an address, hiked a mile or two, and the store was gone. But I did find a Moto Guzzi dealer, so the time was not wasted.

Would have liked to post pictures of some ducatis not available in America. Oh well! I tried.
