Ephrata....or maybe even better...Un-Ephrata.. read on

This was an email Dennis Martin from Martin Motorsports sent out and I think it has some real merit to it.

Dear Motorcycle Enthusiast,

There has been a lot of talk lately about how the regular 1st Sunday gathering at Ephrata has become too big and attracts too many lets say "casual motorcyclists". The riders I know in the Lehigh, Montgomery and Bucks Counties would like to see something a little closer as well. Those of you that remember how Ephrata started will recall a small group of European motorcycle enthusiasts who met for breakfast before heading out for a ride with friends.

My friends and I would like to propose an "Un-Ephrata" to take place on the same day, not as a competitor but to offer an alternative. The location could be on Rt100 near Boyertown at a large parking lot near Martin Motorsports. That's about as far as we've gotten.

My good friend, Flavio Corrocher has volunteered to see if this idea has some legs. You will receive an email from him in the near future exploring this groups interest and energy in promoting this idea. A smaller, more enthusiast based gathering exploring the great roads in the Western Berks, Lehigh and Montgomery counties could get us back to the original idea of meeting other like-minded riders.

Personally I like the idea. I think it would be cool to ride the roads north of here and for those that have been going to Ephrata for a number of years, I'm sure you have all noticed how much it has grown towards either harley guys or stunters anymore.
Might be a cool change of pace.
