Default tuning the beasts...

so does anyone know how much martins' euro charges for dyno-testing and tuning? any idea if they do it the same day?

i'm gonna need a remap of the PC3.

ferracci is around $250 and as with anything there, you never know how long they will decide to take.

besides, martin's has been a big supporter of DeVal so i want to give them money too. Now if only service would pick up their phone [cheeky]

i was going to wait until the parts actually came in to ask though.

I'm pretty sure Em had hers done there. You could try pinging her.

That's ballpark what I've been led to believe you'd spend just about anywhere. Not sure what the specifics are up at Euro, though.

Any idea what it'd cost to just get your bike on the dyno for a pull or two to see what kind of hp/torque you're making?

I'm kind of curious to see where the monster's at.

Typically at the hourly labor rate (Boyertown is $69/hr) is how standard dyno pulls are priced.

So if you would just like to see what the bike is doing and making, scheduling is always best and then if it takes 30 min for say to 2 good pulls on the machine and the subsequent passing of the information to it's rider. You then can decide where you go with further tuning recommendations right from Bill or Mark there at Euro.

Custom mapping is what it is, and is not something just anyone can do-I do truly believe. Last Januaru when Bill mapped my GSXR750 superbike racer, it was $90/hr and you had to expect 2-3hr of their time in getting it perfect.

If you know you can't afford more than say 2hrs, then you need to be up front and tell them..if that's as good as it gets-then leave it.

Bill has persoanlly mapped both my GSXR600 and then the 750 superbike engine on both pump gas and them VP race fuel (U4 and MR9 blends), and those motors rannnnnn.

They will be the only one's I trust with thunderDuc next month when we add some real fuel to it's fire >

Hope this adds some insight Trav

I was chatting with Bill M. at Euro today and he quoted me $270 flat fee for PowerCommander tuning. I'm considering it myself after adding the new pipes last year. I imported a pre-set map from the internet for the PC3 that is working ok. But it's really just a general patch.

It's gonna be a hard decision; I think I need fork seals and an inspection which is about the same price, more if I get new springs.

BTW any suggestions for new front springs? Progressive or linear?
