B&B/Hotel recommendation

My gf and I are thinking about heading up sometime soon before it gets to cold. Can you guys recommend any hotels or B&Bs, in addition to the Clarion, with safe bike parking. Also, we had heard that recently American were getting cars ripped off at a high enough rate to be worried. Is this urban legend or true, and do you have to worry about your bike. Also, do any of you guys check out Picknic Electronik, and is your bike safe there?
