Default Ottawa to Mont-Tremblant - suggested fun routes

Bonjour Montreal Monsters,

On Aug 31 my monster and I will be departing Ottawa in the afternoon with a need to get to Mont-Tremblant that evening.

The road maps show lots of possible routes. However I hear there are some excellent motorcycling areas and I was wondering if any of you folks have suggestions on a fun motorcycle route? I would hate to take a boring car route and then find out later that I missed some great roads.

Anyways, I hope you folks are enjoying the riding season.

Well, I ended up taking 148 east to Montebello and then 323 north to 117. It was cool going through Montebllo with the recent leader conference. Also 323 was lot of fun although sometimes opposing traffic crosses the line into my lane. Overall traffic was light and it was possible/fun to pass slower vehicles. The road was fun. Next time I might jump off 148 earlier on 315 or 317.

The Tremblant area has lots of fun roads - but bring your cool weather gear - its chilly in the mornings.

Route 327 is the best road in the Tremblant area, but it's surrounded by crap roads, and often has gravel in the tight turns (beware!). It's a set of moderate-to-tight twisties through some undulating hills, there is around 15-20 kms of really nice smooth roads. Around here you can't get much better.

Yeah, 327 is nice. Much better than what I have locally in Toronto (flat & straight). I traveled along 327 a couple of times as I rode around the area seeking cool routes and neat views. I spent some time up in the ski village and on Sat morning rode my bike down 327 and had a nice breakfast on St-Jovite. Its a very nice area and I had a lot of fun. The weather was perfect.
