Safety inspection?
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm trying to get everything organizes as quickly as possible to get the 916... If I can't get a pass on my safety inspection this afternoon, does anyone know a good place to have it done? - wink-wink, nudge-nudge.

Re: Safety inspection?
If by safety inspection you mean an inspection for the bike to make sure it is legal for the SAAQ : Concordia Chrysler on Henri-Bourassa. That's were I had my Duc inspected. If you want, post a pic of your bike on this thread and I will let you know if i can see anything wrong visually. Which one needs to be inspected , the SV ? I assume it is the SV, if so, put your stock exhaust back on to avoid any problems [thumbsup].
Cheers

Re: Safety inspection?
Good news, it was passed despite my Hindle exhaust, teehee. Only quibble was the too-small turnsignals, but they just need to be swapped and showed to the inspector.

Re: Safety inspection?
could you please let us know exactly how many decibels your exhaust was and who was the inspector.
this would be a great way to get a paper saying that our bikes passed with aftermarket mufflers if we get stopped. [thumbsup]

Re: Safety inspection?
I don't know the DB range (its a Hindle Stealth with a Superstealth core baffle). They didn't say anything about it, but it is STILL a loud system. I heard them fire it up THREE TIMES and rev it in the garage, I was certain I had failed right there, but as I say, they didn't mention it. I think the fact there was no sticker on the exhaust and it had a visible baffle was what helped me.
It was on Notre Dame, inspected by Robert Walsh.
