Default No bike for 2-3 weeks, went down yesterday

I thought i'd let you all know that i had a little accident yesterday and will be out of a bike for 2 or 3 weeks and will not be able to go on some rides that some of us planned.

i got hit in the back by a scooter who was doing 60Km/h as i was pulling into my driveway. he hit me on the rear right side and my bike went down on the left. all of the parts will be replaced and she'll be good as new very soon. no structural damage was done.

personally, i'm ok. only a few nerves and ligaments were hurt by the shock but WEARING ALL MY GEAR saved a few bones and some skin. the dumbass kid riding in a t-shirt wasn't as lucky... good for him :P

Wear your gear !!! even to go out for coffee [thumbsup]

Peace!

Good thing you're OK.* [thumbsup] And doubly lucky since the damage to your bike was only cosmetic.

I'm not one to wish ill on others, but it sounds like the other rider is a bit banged up but will be OK. So.... it serves the punk who hit you right to get a few scars. They'll remind him many years from now he's an idiot.

Holy faque, that's got to be one of the worst ways to damage you bike - scootertrash hit. Glad you're ok, I hope you have it together ASAP so we can go for a spin.

[thumbsup]glad to hear your ok,
i can't believe the guy didn't see you, or was he trying to be COOL and figured he'd pass you.
its a pisser that you insurance might go up because of an ***hole, nevermind the riding time you'll lose
on the upside, its a good time to dress up your bike.
once again, good to hear your o.k.
nat.
Peace!
[thumbsup]

thanks everyone

i can't wait to be back on the road. for this week at least, my right wrist could not handle it because of the torn tissue (nerves, ligaments, muscles) but starting next week i'll be getting a bad case of the "The Itch"

hope to see you all soon.
