SF riding tips

I am new to SF. I notice SFPD are more serious comparing to LAPD and fwy speed is much lower too.

Where to ride has lower chance to get tickets?

Don't leave yet...We'll take what ever traffic we can get in out little section of the board.

If you would ever like to venture outside the SF area to ride the foothill or Barryessa/Napa...give a holler here.
I find that enforcement patrols vary. If you keep your ears open, you can usually tell where the cops will be on a particular enforcement weekend. That's when you can choose to ride a different route. If an enforcement weekend is planned, the weekend before and after is usually clear for a good ride. Also, if there have been a lot of accidents along a particular stretch of road, the cops will most likely be scutinizing the area and looking to "clean up the mess"

At this time of year, your best riding is probably out in the Bay Area or around Napa. Some of the favorite foothill routes have snow at the higher elevations and slippery snotty stuff before that.
