Hey boys and girls!
There seems to be some interest in planning a get together. I know I've been AWOL a bit lately, but I'm back and willing to do a little coordinating.

The old Ducati nights were supposed to be held every third Monday I beleive.
Does that still work? There was interest in changing the venue to a more central location (mid town and surrounds?)

I'm throwing 10/22 out there. Does anyone want to show up and hear my new valves? Discuss the value of changing belts? Hear tales of Tail (of the Dragon)? Adventures form the track?

Have you ever been to a Portuguese bullfight? My brother is the lead guy on the Suicide Squad. Their the guys that line up and wrestle the bull. Kind of a halftime show for the bullfights. I can't get on myspace from here. When I get home I'll download a pic from his myspace and post it.

Holy Shite!

That first guy in line with the bull (2nd pic) seems to have a few too many legs, or maybe he is just kissing the friend he was using as a sheild goodbye. [clap]

Where is this event being held? Maybe we could meet up there? I'm interested in this man vs. beast thing.

Nevertheless, I'll put the word out that we will have a meet-up.
Who would like a midtown Sac location?

The bullfights are to be held in Thornton on the 20th and 22nd. I'm not certain about exact times, but I believe the Saturday bullfight is 5-7 pm followed by a portuguese festa and the bullfight on Monday is 7-9 pm.

I'm going to try and make time for this one - and I'd love the idea of going to the bullfight too.

Maybe we could meet up at Whitey's in West Sac around 6pm and then take South River Road down to Thornton? The road is patched in many places, but at least it isn't the I-5 slab and we get some sweapers in.

Thoughts?

Here's the schedule for the festivities of the weekend:

- Mass 9 am & Bodo de Leite 10 am
- Folklore 1 pm,
- Bullfight 3 pm $20
- Outdoor Mass & candlelight procession 7:30 pm,
- Cantori 10 pm ( TBA )
- Dance 9 pm ( Rapaziada)

.:| Sunday 10/21/07 |:.
- Outdoor Mass 10 am
- Parade follows Mass.
Parade is so long (short route) that front of parade has to wait for end of parade.
- Auction 2 pm
- Dance & Cantoria 8 pm (Aquarios)

.:| Monday - 10/22/07 |:.
- Bullfight 8 pm
- $20 at Praça de São João

My brother says that the bullfight on Saturday would be the better one to go to, plus those who would like to experience a Portuguese Festa could do so directly after.

Let me know if we want to do this and which day. If I can get a total number of people who want to participate I could possibly see if my brother can get us free or discounted tickets.
