Default July 4th ride in the hills????

How do my monster brethren?
I'm new to this site, but was encouraged by Grio (I think) to get in and check it out. Thanks btw for the nudge if that was you I met on WWSprings & Uncle Toms yesterday.

I picked up my 1st (surely not last) monster a couple of months ago and would like to meet up with any takers for a ride in the hills Wed to beat the valley heat. I'm game for any and all routes but still need to dial in my range on the new bike. I've ran out of gas three times already and pushing this bike is not something I plan on making a habit of.

Holla back...

Howdy and welcome. What kind of monster did you get and were you out on Wentworth Springs last Thursday? I was out there then (Red/White S2R) and spotted someone on a Black S4R(?). I waved and was hoping to stop at some point, but I think the other person went opposite direction of Ice House Rd. Don't know about the 4th yet, but maybe.

Guilty!
Yeah that was me. I picked up the new S4Rs back in April. Two months and 6k miles later, I absolutely LOVE IT. All my previous bikes were 4 cyl crotch rockets. If riding the desmo twin is wrong, I don't want to be right (EVER!).

I was behind you most of the way toward Icehouse, and I saw that dumptruck (??) nearly take you out half way there. From behind that looked pretty damn close.

If not Wed, we'll meet up another time.

Sorry guys...I'm at the track at Laguna Seca on the 4th. ;D

Can I take a rain check for the weekend?

BTW: 'Twas I. Welcome, and nice to meet you. We are going to have to get a proper monster ride together soon. And Breezy, for the record, most monster owners with miles under their belt rely almost exclusively on the trip meter/odometer monitoring for gas level.

I'm not sure about the 4th either, but I'll post up later - loads going on, but I am in for a proper ride soon too.

Sounds good ya'll.
Likewise Grio, have fun at the track.
Everyone else have a happy and SAFE 4th where ever you be!

I hope to put some faces with the names (and bikes) soon.
