Northern CA routes

Hi. I am riding down I-5 to Medford, Oregon in August . :P As long as I am down there I want to explore Northern California. Anybody have suggestions for a 3-day ride? One route I have been looking goes south through Happy Camp and the Klamath National Forest and the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Anybody ridden in this area? How about Northeast California south of Klamath Falls? Looking for any suggestions you guys can give me. Thanks!

You flying solo or with ride buddies?

I will have one partner. I will be riding a 2001 900SS and he'll have a Honda Interceptor, so we don't exactly ride Adventure bikes. Hope the roads are OK. Thanks.
