Default James Steichel Memorial ride 4/8

Three years ago on April 8th, James went for a solo ride and never returned. Feel free to join friends in enjoying the beautiful countryside, remebering James, and celebrating the kinship of riders.

If you ride solo, or have a loved one who does, please consider joining us.
Three meet locations:

Leaving Sacramento:
9:20-9:30 from the Tower Cafe @ Broadway and 16th St.

Leaving Davis:
10:00-10:15 from Jerry Kaplan's House (address to come)

Leaving the corners @ 128/121
11:00-11:15

I didn't know James, but similarly, I often ride solo out in the countryside. The rides are so enjoyable that I sometimes innocently forget the hazards that are out there. It makes me rethink my solo ways because I wonder who would be around to help if something were to go wrong out in the middle of no where.

Grio, what areas does this ride go through and is it suitable for me as a newbie?

This will be around Barryessa - easier roads than Salmon Falls.
There may be riders of all levels involved (hard to tell). Regardless, all are welcome; the group will accomodate any skill level.

I'd like to go too--but my son is playing basketball in San Jose this weekend.

The roads around berryessa are very nice this time of year. The boat trailers will fill the roads soon and it will be a lot more difficult to find open road.
