Default Welly well.. What next for the DML?

Just an FYI for those of you how don't adventure out of CAM. The DML was bought a bit ago by a commercial entity.. Today saw the mass exodus of mods.

Times are a changin'

When they bought it who made money, and does anyone know how much? I'm just curious how msg board finances go. This is all new to me.

Jeff (monsterhooligan) owned it. It wasn't retire forever money.

The majority of the moderators don't want to work for what is basically an ad agency. You can read all their reasoning in their threads in GMF.

CAM has never been effected by the bigger drama, but the lookout hasn't changed despite quite a long time of VS ownership because the moderator core fought pretty vociferously.

The ads are coming.

There is an ad free CAM section waiting for people who want to hang out and ride and organize etc. with enthusiasts on an enthusiast owned forum thats sole purpose isn't generating revenue.

public announcement soon.

Anxiously awaiting that. I was tempted to open up the forum I just made for private use to people around who want to chat about riding.
