Default BIKE DOWN!!!

They shouldn't call them "kickstands" on Monsters, they should be called "asphalt-piercing weapons". My kickstand punched through an unfortunately thin layer of asphalt due to the soggy ground beneath it. Broke a mirror, but nothing else. I think it must have been a pretty slow fall. I'm not sure how long it was on it's side. It started up fine, but is there anything else I need to check after going horizontal?

you checked the tank and everything....if your clutch works fine and all...then you are good to go....sorry to hear of your misfortune....but it could have been worse...maybe the soft ground also cushioned the blow!

Yeah, no damage to the tank. Clutch seems to work. I didn't ride it though. I think it must have fallen over really really slow because if the mirror sheered off quickly I would expect the two pieces to fit back together. But both pieces look like they were slowly separated, like when you pull apart a piece of taffy.

Nothin' a little JB Weld and duct tape can't fix. And throw in a dremel just for fun.

Your recycle bin. If you thoroughly smash the hell out of a soda can, it will get to be flat and strong.

or any random hard and flat piece of trash....a piece of slate works nice too...I know a guy who used to put his piece of slate in the little bed that surrounded the tree by where he normally parked...he'd park...walk a few steps and grab the slate and put it down and replace the kickstand on it...and VOILA!
