Saturday I called upon Tim at his home garage. He graciously took time away from working on his B race bike and selflessly hooked me up with some Napoleon bar-end mirrors complete with expert installation, taught me how to do my own oil and filter change, and performed several attentive modifications to my bike:
1) Gifted and installed the Napoleon bar-end mirrors, really transformed the look of the bike, significantly more stylish and decidedly European looking than the stock mickey mouse ear mirrors, and with enhanced functionality.
2) Removed reflectors from the front forks and the rear license plate assembly, which smartly cleaned up the rear view of the bike.
3) Removed some troublesome plastic wrap which had been carelessly left trapped among some hard parts from the original assembly of the bike, that which I had decidedly ignored, painstakingly took apart the bike to get at it.
4) Upgraded the cheap fencing hardware used to affix the license plate to the rear fender to some fine quality metric hex screws, no doubt more appropriate and befitting for a European cultural icon.
