Hey everyone! Well on Sunday of this past weekend, after much anticipation and excitement, I finally got to take my Monster out for a AZTrackTime track day at Firebird Speedway! What a thrill it was to be out running around fast as my Monster could go and to not have to worry about getting a ticket! LOL, seriously though it was an awesome day! I was suprised at how much different it really is and what you have to worry about that's different than every day riding. I wore the 'new rider' vest for the first 3 runs (which were 20 minutes each) and then ripped it off and was ready to play! Most of you know that I took Total Control with Lee Parks about a month ago, and the techniques that I learned helped me out a lot. The greatest challenge for me was to just relax! I tried everything, but the only thing that seemed to work was to yell "woohoo!" as loud as I could in my helmet while running my laps! I know it sounds funny, but hey, ultimatly it worked every time!!
Here are some pics:

That's awesome, Dave... I sing folk songs, but hey, whatever works for ya....
[laugh] I figured that if someone passed me close enough at just the right time, they might be able to hear me!!! [laugh]
It made me think of the movie Driven with Stallone where he's the Indy car driver who hums when he gets into his groove. I think the "woohoo!" was loud and abrupt enough to break my tension quickly; I doubt humming would have done that for me!
Folk songs, hey if it works keep singing!!! [thumbsup]
