Monster900 2001 can not get it to turn over. I hear the fuel pump turning on. Checked the fuses, wiggled the housing for the ignition, battery is good. I think it is the ignition switch because I got it to run by wiggling the wires on Sat. Any ideas??
check small wire with plastic connector that hooks into center of solenoid. they have been known to come loose or fall off. kinda tough to see but my 95 M900 you can reach in thru the LH side of the frame as the solenoid sits just inboard of the fuel pump. there also have been probs with engine to frame ground near RH footpeg bracket. these come loose and drain battery.
Matt - assuming that your bike has been sitting around because it's winter, did you have a tender attached to your battery? If not, then it may be your battery - it has enough juice to turn on the lights but not enough to start the bike.
