Thank you, I am still working on it. I have gotten communication from one party to another and now it is off to Ducati.

It turns out the item was sitting on a back room shelf for two years. The dealer thinks that it is one of two things:
1) Item is defective
2) Item is not compatible with the ABS model (even though part numbers match)

I will update thread with what happens next.

Well, the final outcome of this issue has been a full refund from the dealer.

I have found that the DP alarm had been sitting for about two years in parts room. The issue seems to be, as it is not confirmed by Ducati, that the unit is not compatible with the newer ABS models. The part number is the same on the old unit as it is on the new unit; however the pictures that show up for a new alarm do not match that of the older unit.

The good thing for me is that I am moving into a house that has a garage, so I do not see the need for an alarm system.

Ya, I know.

Thank you very much. I am really looking forward to the move; I will actually have some scenery to look at while riding, specifically, MOUNTAINS...
