Default 696 / 796 / 1100 mods under $50

I wanted to put together a list of mods people have done for $50 and under. Mostly as a reference for the times I want to tinker with the bike and don't want to spend money. So post up the mod and how much it cost and ill add it to the list.

14t front sprocket

Plasti dip bar riser

Plasti dip headlight

Shorten front turn signals

Frame sticker removal

fork reflector removal

ditch charcoal can, replace with euro cover for $30ish

plenty of grips avail for <$50

small carbon parts: exhaust heat shield, sprocket cover

Yes 14T is the undisputed king of <$50 mods but let's see...

-Frame sticker removal
-fork reflector removal
-ditch charcoal can, replace with euro cover for $30ish
-plenty of grips avail for <$50
-small carbon parts: exhaust heat shield, sprocket cover
-vinyl graphics/decals
-upgraded H1/H7 bulbs
-Motodynamics fender eliminator kit for $30!
-if including eBay generic stuff: adjustable levers,bar end mirrors, cheapo LED indicators

Reflective rim stripes to replace those removed fork reflectors $35.

Default < $50 dollar mods

65218 LMFAO!!! I work nights so mornings are like most peoples evenings. Sitting here after work with a bottle of wicked strength ale. (which I almost blew out my nose when I read your post.)

2012 Monster 696 ABS+
Removed fork reflectors = $0.0
MonsterTailChop Proto-type fender eliminator $50.00
Removed Stock mirrors and made buttonhead allen bolt plugs. (Had bolts - hacksaw and paint at home too.) $ = $0.0
Oberon streetfighter bar-end mirrors = $38.00
12" x 12" sheet of 1/16" thick carbonfiber twill weave = $44.00
(Made all frame plugs out of carbon fiber... a savings of aprrox $250.00.
Removed OEM frame stickers (Have on toolbox) = $0.0
Front & Rear sliders from Evo-Tech. = $41.00 each.
Think the missus would let get another big dollar mod after all this savings Noooooooo. Time we went out to dinner with all that savings when I told her. Me and my big mouth. Gotta find a way to get a Leo Vince exhaust...christmas is coming!
