Seat Cover Removal Help

I just purchased a Luimoto seat cover for my 696 and plan to have an upholsterer install if for me.

But, does anyone know how to remove the plastic pieces that house the screw holes for the rear seat cover? I can't seem to remove them and want to do this before taking the seat and new cover to the upholsterer.
