m1100 - any experience with alarm install?

hi folks, going on a road trip end of July and figure I might want an alarm on the bike for parking outside motels on the way. anyone have any experience installing a good alarm on a m1100? I would like one that has compatible harnesses available so I don't have to cut up my wiring, but if I do need to, that's ok too.
